Laurel Ruth Cleamons was born at 26 weeks and two days gestation. Her mother, Tana, developed preeclampsia - a disease characterized by extremely high blood pressure and proteins in the urine. Her kidneys were shutting down and if Laurel was not delivered soon, they were both susceptible to stroke, seizures, or even death. Laurel, nicknamed Laurie, was born March 4, 2013, weighing 1 pound 6.2 ounces and measuring 12.99 inches. At 27 weeks gestation she needs help from a breathing tube. This is the familys' second preemie baby. Their first child, Tre, was born at 29 weeks and stayed in the NICU for 45 days.
Hospital bills are insanely high and they are still dealing with bills from Tre and his birth. The goal amount is a rough estimate of what the bill for Laurie's hospital stay will be after insurance. Please think about contributing to help this family. Any dollar amount is helpful and will go directly towards these hospital bills.
