Trauma and deepening my practice
Donation protected
Hey friends, I have the opportunity to spend five days with one of my teachers as part of a small group of people focusing on craniosacral therapy and trauma. This is a huge chance for me and, straight up, I don't have the cash for it.
What I learn here will be used for hands on work (more on my practice here ) and it will also filter in the writing I am doing on biology, evolution, and transformational movement building... in other words, what a collective of cells has figured out over 800,000 years of evolution and how things like the immune response - or dealing with stress and the threat & experience of violence - might have lessons for how we deal with violence within and without our own communities.
And truthfully, this will be the opportunity for me to spend five intensive days with one of my practice elders, someone who can hold and push me in my learning, make me really uncomfortable and probably at one point wish I hadn't decided to do this, and then send me home better able to love and listen.
If you only have a little extra cash, give it to something else that feels urgent and immediate. But if you have more than that and your overall cashflow is a bit better because you are eating the food you grew or hanging outside more or you just have extra, I would be deeply grateful.
I will be bringing you with me to the training and then writing up what I learned/experienced through this and sharing it as a way of saying thank you.
