Kelly Farmer Memorial Scholarship

The Kelly Farmer Memorial Scholarship was created in July 2009 to honor Kelly's compassion and selflessness, supporting Syracuse City School District students in their journey to higher education. Kelly graduated from Nottingham High School in 2002.
She went on to attend Onondaga Community College before graduating from Syracuse University in 2008 with her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. At the time of her death, she was attending S.U. as a graduate student in Aerospace Engineering.
Education was very important to her. Kelly wanted to change the world; and she believed that started with her education. You could often find Kelly helping out in a classroom, tutoring young students and being a mentor to them. Kelly was extremely proud of her Syracuse City School roots and with this scholarship, we will continue helping young students achieve their education dreams, just like Kelly.
