Here is Alexander Ramirez (Alex to all of his friends), he was 8 years old and on June 5, 2016 he was killed by a driver that was speeding (the speed limit was 10 mph) and not paying attention to the road. He and his friends were playing outside and he ran for the street only to be hit by the car. The spectators outside yelled at the woman to stop, but she did not. Alex was dragged three houses down. His friends sprang into action and went to get his dad and call 911. A kind neighbor ran from his car and performed CPR on him and he was breathing again. His dad came immediately and held him in his arms; but there was not much that could be done. Alex passed away at Lewisville Medical Center. His family was not with him immediately because they were getting ready for his sister's graduation later that day from LHS. Most of his family were not able to say goodbye to him. The driver who is 20 years old with no insurance was able to walk away. So far, they are ruling this an accident. Alex's parents now face enormous medical and funeral bills. My name is Jeniffer and I am asking if you could find it in your heart to help out this kind family who is going through a great loss. I knew Alex and he was a very good boy, always talked to his elders respectfully, always followed the rules. Never did anything wrong.  This is why I am setting up this fundraiser to help out his family because they are also hard working good people; and they cannot do this alone. If you are able to thank his family and our entire community will be eternally grateful.  Alex was very excited for this summer because he was going to join his first soccer team.
