We lost a very special man this week. Nick Dictakis was the consummate friend, co-worker, son, brother and most importantly father. He was respected and loved by all.
If you knew Nick well, you knew how important his relationship with Zack was to him. Many of us have shared stories on Facebook about Nick showing us videos Zack created, short films he directed and music he played and wrote. With talent like this how can you not be proud? I can remember one day stopping by Nick’s house in Hudson to visit. Nick and I spent hours looking at the short stories and videos that Zack and his friends created. There were so many I lost count but we watched every one of them and laughed hysterically and were in awe of Zack’s talent at such a young age.
It’s our love for Nick and Zack along with the appreciation of Zack’s talent that this Go Fund Me was set up. Nick and Meg want nothing more than to see Zack graduate from college and follow his dreams of one day directing, performing and producing. Both have sacrificed so much to set him on this path. Zack is currently entering his third year at UCONN studying acting and doing very well!
Nick’s recent unemployment and unexpected passing have left many questions around the ability to finance Zack’s college. Let’s do all we can to help relieve some of this burden.
