Bobbi Jo Abrahamson
Donation protected
On Wednesday, November 25, our mom, Bobbi Jo, was airlifted to North Memorial. She had a massive blood clot in her left leg and COVID pneumonia. We were also informed she was suffering from kidney failure.
She has since been in the ICU at North Memorial. She has undergone two surgeries on her leg to break apart and reduce the clot. She is also on a bipap machine as her breathing is very tenuous and she is still at high risk to be intubated. We had been in communication with her in the beginning, but have since stopped as we are hoping she focuses on resting and recovering as much as she can.
Each day her doctor calls and updates the family. Yesterday was a better day for mom! Her doctor said she seemed perkier and was even talking about physical therapy. Of course she was, right? :) Her leg is looking much better and in turn her kidney numbers continue to improve. They have started her on a diuretic to eliminate the extra fluid in hopes her lungs will respond as her breathing has not improved.
Each day we pray for "better days" but we know that her recovery will be a rollercoaster. We appreciate any and all prayers at this time as we all know tomorrow is not promised.
