Jonathan Hintz (Best Teacher Ever)

Mr. Hintz was my third grade teacher and so much more. He was the man that shaved his head into a mohawk and dyed his hair pink because of a promise he made to a class of nine year olds.  Everyday we would sit in front of his Tarheels rocking chair that, like the rest of the room, was carolina blue. I didn't go a day without laughing in his class. Mr. Hintz was the first teacher who really made learning fun for me. Everyday was an adventure, not a burden. Now we have to help Mr. Hintz through the passing of another beautiful soul, his wife Tara. She died this Thursday from leukemia and will be remembered by all the hearts she touched along the way. Help give back to this man who has influenced so many others through twelve years of teaching.
