Sidney needs a kidney!

Hi everyone! Sidney has OFFICIALLY been added to the transplant list for a new kidney/pancreas! For the past 14 years, Sidney has been fighting type one diabetes. Complications from type one diabetes have caused numerous ailments and Sidney‘s kidneys to fail. Currently, Sidney has a kidney function of just 4% (after battling COVID and pneumonia) and needs a transplant. She has been receiving dialysis treatments four hours a day three times a week since June 2020. During this journey, Sidney has shown incredible strength, tremendous courage, and persevered through! She continues to remain positive and optimistic even though she has rough days. After her transplant, she will be off work for about 6-12 weeks while she heals and adjusts to her new normal.
