Our friend Johnny B. needs your help! Earlier this year, he was diagnosed with mulitple myeloma. He has begun treatment and is still able to work during this time; however, in August, the treatment will become much intensive and John will have to miss several months of work. Cancer sucks--there's no other way to say it. It does bad things to good people, and John is no exception.

John has made a miraculous transformation over the past few years. In September of 2011, alcoholism had taken him to a place where he was homeless and nearly dead. Instead of giving up, he took some actions that changed his life for the better. As a result of those actions, John has been able to greatly benefit the lives of many, many others during his nearly 5 years of sobriety.

Today, John is one of the best men you could ever meet. He serves the community through work as a peer support specialist for a mental health center; he is a genuine, compassionate, and loving friend; and he regularly gives back to those who face the same issues that he had faced 5 years before.

We realize that $10,000 is a lot to ask, but his out of pocket costs for treatment, as well as the lost wages during treatment add up quickly. If you can spare anything at all, we would be forever grateful for your help.
