Campaign for a New Nanpantan Scouts Hut
Will you join us in building a safe community space for our children to grow, learn, and build their confidence?
We are raising money for a new Nanpantan Scouts Building. Though our goal is large, any donation will help make an impact.

We are a long-established and thriving Scout group providing safe and structured opportunities for self-development and social interaction for upwards of 150 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We are fortunate to have a large team of volunteer leaders who are generous with their time and passionate about helping our young people to be the best that they can be through Scouting. They are, of course, crucial to our work with young people; however, equally crucial in this regard is our headquarters.
We currently use our own building which is located on a sizeable plot that we own off Nanpantan Road in Loughborough. Whilst the site itself is ideal, providing extensive grounds for outdoor activities, the building itself is in poor condition. The site is a former quarry, creating ground conditions. Combined with poor foundations, this has created significant movement in the main hall, which is in turn causing water to leak through the roof. This have been temporarily repaired, but remains in dire need of a more permanent solution. The toilets, disabled access and kitchen facilities are also in urgent need of improvement. While we continue to operate, our long term viability is entirely dependent on these improvements to the building.
We now have a detailed plan to replace our main hall and refurbish the front section of our building to provide a warm and modern facility with updated kitchen and toilets, plus proper disabled access. This will not only improve the experience of our young people, but will also open up our building to wider community usage. We hope that the new headquarters will help fill a gap for the community on the Nanpantan side of Loughborough, benefiting even more than the Scouts, Beavers, and Cubs which come through its doors.
