Phil & Ambrosia Nelson Fam

Phil Nelson left us on 10/21/19 after spending time in the ICU. He leaves behind his wife Ambrosia and two kids, Damon (14) and Lola (10). All are Dubuque, Iowa natives that moved to the Denver area almost 6 years ago. Many that knew Phil knew that he struggled with mental illness his entire life. Unfortunately the evening of 10/19/19, he could not fight those demons any longer and as a result, he ended up passing. He was surrounded by loved ones as he took his final breath. Phil & Ambrosia were able to be together for their 12th anniversary on 10/20/19.

Phil touched so many lives and that is evident by the outpouring of love and support provided so far. Unfortunately life insurance was limited because of Phil’s medial history, so his family is trying to find ways to make ends meet financially in order to start their new normal life. The funds donated will go to medical bills, mortgage, utilities, groceries, etc. The Nelson’s appreciate anything, even if it’s just a simple sharing of the GoFundMe. Thank you
