On the night of Wednesday, September 24th Rosalind was rushed to United Hospital because she was having a stroke caused by a ruptured carotid artery that formed a blood clot. When removing the blood clot, little pieces of the clot broke off and went into her brain which caused swelling. Her doctors then decided to put her on a medication to help reduce the swelling over night. Unfortunately the swelling did not go down so her doctors on September 27th at about 9am decided to have her undergo a Decompressive Craniectomy, a surgery where they remove a piece of the skull to help reduce the swelling. As of 2pm on Friday the 27th, she is out of surgery and the doctors said everything went well. She had a small benign tumor which they were able to remove and she also lost some blood but not enough to concern her doctors.
