Joshua Steurer Updates

During this time of fighting cancer Josh is going to be immune-compromised. Being able to work and such is going to be difficult. Please help him and his family take one more worry off their shoulders and donate.

In a matter of 3 weeks we have gone from what we thought was a bad gallbladder or appendicitis to stage 4 cancer.

Joshua was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine carcinoma. So what does that mean? Means that it is not curable, only treatable. Because of the type he is not eligible for a transplant and the prognosis is 2 to 3 years depending on how the cancer responds to chemo.

He will be doing a 2 drug chemo that is administered over 3 days as an outpatient. He will have 4 to 6 rounds of this every 21 days. And after the first treatment he was hospitalized 4 days later due to kidney failure. The chemo attacks the kidneys as well as the cancer.

Needless to say this makes working difficult, but he is doing as much as he can from home.

We have insurance but the treatments and hospitalizations are not cheap couple with his limited ability to work.
