Grandma by Breezy Point Beach - Relief

Hello friends, family & future friends,

So much was lost on October 29, 2012. Our gathering place, often feeling like the heart and soul of the family...Our home, whose walls embraced 50 years of love, laughter, and tears for generations of family and friends, was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Our mother, who worked 2 and 3 jobs to keep this home so we would know and appreciate what it is to live in a one-of-a-kind community like Breezy Point, lost more than we can imagine.  

The year of 2012 was tough even before Sandy: heart attack and cancer hit home. This summer also saw the birth of 'Pebble's Pub'; a long-term dream fulfilled by a lifetime of savings. That too was devastated. 

So we cling to hope. The hope that we can repair and rebuild. Unfortunately, like many others in Breezy, there was no insurance coverage. On behalf of our incredible mother Marguerite Manno (who wants to kill us for doing this) and Poppy, we hope that if anyone has yet to donate to the relief effort, that you consider assisting in our mission.

Checks can be mailed to September's Mission at 444 E. 86th Street, Apartment 37F, NY, NY 10028 and made payable to SEPTEMBER'S MISSION/GRANDMA BY BREEZY BEACH SANDY RELIEF. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those suffering from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.  We are truly blessed that our loved ones escaped the wrath of this disaster.  We appreciate your time and consideration in assisting us to help our mom return home.
