On Saturday 27th December, our community will come together at Lodge Park Sports Centre in Corby for a very special event: a 14-hour continuous, fun indoor football match and Family Fun Day. Why 14 hours? Because it represents Max Hall’s age - a bright, funny, and caring 14-year-old who loves football and life. The bouncy castles and games for younger children reflect Sienna Dunion’s personality—a fun-loving child bursting with energy and joy.
Why we are doing this...
Just days after his 14th birthday, Max experienced two unexpected seizures and was rushed to hospital. After scans and tests, his family received the most devastating news a parent can hear: Max has a large brain tumour. Because of where it is located, it cannot be operated on. They have since been told that treatment options through the NHS are very limited, and that the tumour is considered incurable. Max is passionate about football - he plays for GLK United and is a huge Manchester United fan - and his family is determined to explore every possible treatment option to give him the best chance for more time, comfort, and hope. Alongside Max, we’re also supporting Sienna Dunion, a beautiful 4-year-old who was suddenly struck by a rare brain condition called Acute Necrotising Encephalitis (ANE), caused by the flu. Sienna has endured major surgeries and faces a long road of rehabilitation, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, and specialist neurological care. Her family is committed to giving her every chance to recover and thrive. For more information please visit: https://www.gofundme.com/f/our-4yearold-daughter-sienna-is-fighting-for-her-life
Both families are facing enormous challenges and costs for treatment and rehabilitation. Both families have strong ties to Lodge Park Sports Centre. That’s why we’re asking you to join us for one game, one goal: hope!
What's On
This isn’t just a football match—it’s a family fun day!
- 14-hour continuous football match (8 AM – 10 PM) - In the Main Sports Hall.
Don't worry, we don't expect you to play all day! Game time will be allocated and distributed evenly based on how many people register and your age. We will contact you with the time you will be brought on to play (subbed in) via the email address you provide when registering. The team you will play for will be allocated to you on the day. You will either play for Santa's Reindeer Rovers (you will wear a red santa hat and red bib) or Elf's Workshop Wanderers (will wear a green elf hat and green bib). It is vital you register to take part so we can ensure it is spread evenly throughout the day. Children playing from Year 7 and older will play first at 8am. The age of players will then increase during the day to ensure that children play with other children, and adults play with other adults too. North Northants Leisure have kindly donated 200x Santa Hats and 200x Elf Hats for players. We do not know how many attendees we will register, so if you have a Santa hat or Elf Hat, please bring it with you!
- Bouncy castles, fun activities and soft play equipment for younger children (8 AM – 6 PM). Maximum age for use of this play equipment is 12. These are kindly being donated by Corby Castles (Thank you Stephen Deegan). You do not need to register for this. Bouncy castles will be in the Practice Hall.
- Gift prizes - (please get in touch if you or your business can donate a prize for the event!). Tickets will be sold on the day.
- Food vendors outside (Again please contact us if you can be a food vendor for the event! We are planning on allowing vendors to be outside in our overflow car park or maybe indoor in a studio if suitable. Contact us to discuss).
Every pound raised will be split equally between Max and Sienna’s campaigns. Whether you play, cheer, or bounce - we simply ask for a donation to this page - no matter how big or small. You can donate now or on the day with QR codes to this page provided on entry.
Every donation made will be helping two incredible children and their families during the toughest time of their lives. Please share this page too if you cannot attend the event but wish to support.
If you have any questions about the event, please call us directly at 01536 400033.
Please give what you can and spread the word. Together, we can turn 14 hours of football and fun into a lifetime of hope.
(PS... Don't forget to register if you are playing in the match to get your time slot. We want adults and young people from Year 7 up to take part).
Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday 27th December.
