111-Hour World Record Pool Marathon

On July 25th 2023, myself (Marc Murray) and Colin Pilcher will be attempting to break our third Guinness World Record (we held the record in 2011 and 2013) for the Longest Marathon Playing Pool (Singles). We are aiming to smash our previous records by playing pool continuously, with no sleep, for 111 hours!

As it is the 10th anniversary of our last record, we are also aiming big and hoping to raise £10,000 for our chosen charities; The National Deaf Children's Society and If You Care Share Foundation. The event itself will be held over 5 days at Hooch's in Consett.

On a personal note, the National Deaf Children's Society has been an invaluable support to my family over the past 8 years as both of my sons are profoundly deaf, and I would love to raise as much money as possible to say thank you and to help you to continue to support more deaf children and their families. The If You Care Share Foundation also does invaluable work with suicide prevention. The final fundraising total will be split equally between the two charities.

We will be live streaming the event and will also have coverage from both the local media and social media.

We would appreciate absolutely anything that you are able donate to help make our BIGGEST ever charity event as big a success as possible.
