Lima, Ohio, We are going to eliminate homelessness.
We can actually do it if we have your help.
We all recognize that homelessness continues to be a challenge in our nation and in our own community. Too often, resources are available but never reach the people who need them the most. This is mainly because allies of people affected by homelessness may not know how to connect with these resources.
The Lima Rotary is excited to partner with the West Ohio Community Action Partnership to help address the needs of our homeless population by creating a program that will help connect our homeless population with the resources needed. A single phone number would provide the connection to our local resources, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! This phone number can be used by government agencies, organizations, non- profits, and the individuals themselves. Their needs will be assessed and they will be given temporary housing until more permanent housing becomes available.
Your donation will help the Lima Rotary and WOCAP pay for what it takes to get this much needed service started so that we can END HOMELESSNESS in our community. The funds will also be used to provide public education about connecting members of the homeless community with these services.
