Display Mr. House on the Las Vegas Sphere for one day

Donation protected
Let's get down to business. As the sole proprietor of the Las Vegas Strip, it's only right that Mr. Robert House of RobCo Industries makes his presence known in the crown jewel of the Mojave.

Update (May 16, 2024)
Hey everyone! It's been nearly a week since the fundraiser was set up and I think it's time for an update. What started out as a funny joke is starting to look like it could become a reality and I couldn't be more excited! With that said, I know many people have questions and I'm here to answer them. Below, I will share my plans and try to answer some frequently asked questions.

The Plan:
The plan is to display the face of Mr. House from the popular videogame, Fallout New Vegas, on the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas for the day. Ideally, and with the blessing of Bethesda Softworks, I would like to display the in-game image of Mr. House directly onto the Sphere. As time goes on and the fundraiser reaches donation milestones, I will get in contact with MSG Sphere and figure out any and all information I need to make this happen.

FAQs: (Updated as of May 16, 2024)
1. Why did you start this fundraiser?
Simply put, because I thought it was funny. It made me laugh, and brought me joy. I'm so happy to see it's doing the same for others!

2. Why is the goal set so high?
Per @JoePompliano and @BetterPitchGuy on X (formerly Twitter), the cost to advertise on the Sphere is $450,000 per day, which "comprises of a 4-hour, 50% SOV takeover."

3. If it costs $450,000, why is the goal set higher?
Unfortunately I wasn't able to obtain prices from MSG Sphere directly, but I tried my best to account for tax and any hidden fees and surcharges. Additionally, I found out a few days after making the GoFundMe that they charge extra if you're not advertising an actual product, brand, company, service, etc.

4. What happens if you reach the goal and find out that it costs less than expected?
Some people have suggested donating any excess donations to a charity organization, but since I'm making this update a week later, it wouldn't be fair since that wasn't included in the description at the time of making the fundraiser. Any excess donations will be refunded.

5. What happens if you reach the goal and find out more money is required?
I think it's going to depend on how much more it is. I don't have set numbers in my head, but if it's a small fraction extra, I'll update the goal. If however, I deem it to be substantially and unrealistically high, I may refund all donors, or possibly make a poll and let the donors vote on the next step.

6. What happens if you reach the goal?
If the goal is reached, I will do everything in my power to fulfill the purpose of the GoFundMe, and display Mr. House's face on the Las Vegas Sphere.

7. What happens if you reach the goal and you can't use Mr. House's face on the Sphere?
If I find that I'm unable to use Mr. House's face, I will look into substitutes. I may use an altered image of his face, fan art with permission of the artist, or use an image of Howard Hughes, the real life inspiration of Mr. House, featuring a green tint and scanlines. Alternatively, if I find that I'm unable to display something that will satisfy the expectations of the donors, I will refund everyone's donations.

8. Do you have a deadline for the goal?
I don't have any particular date in mind but ideally, I'd like to at least reach the halfway point on or before May of 2025. If we haven't reached any major milestones by then and it doesn't look like the goal will ever be reached in a reasonable amount of time, I will refund all donors and shut down the fundraiser.

9. If the goal is reached, what date will Mr. House be on the sphere?
I have a couple of dates in mind. The obvious one is October 23, the day of "The Great War", AKA "Fallout Day." Another notable date is June 25, the birthday of Mr. House. I'm also considering displaying him during the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix because why not? I'm unsure if specific days/dates cost more. I'd imagine that running the ad during notable events would cost more, so those factors could play a part in when Mr. House makes his debut.

10. Are you affiliated with Bethesda Softworks?
I get asked this a lot. I am not. I'm just a regular guy who got bored at work one day and set this up after seeing a meme about it.

11. Why don't you let Bethesda do it? I'm sure they'll do it anyway to tease Season 2 of the show.
It's funnier if I do it.

12. I'd like to support the fundraiser but I don't have any money to donate. How can I help?
The best thing you can do is spread awareness. Share a link to the fundraiser, check out and share our socials, and let's get this thing off the ground together!
