Czech Republic Mission Trip
I'm overjoyed about the opportunity God has opened up for me to go on a mission trip this summer to the Czech Republic and help my missionary friends, David and April McWhite, in their church planting efforts.
Two years ago, through David Platt speaking at the CROSS Conference simulcast at my church, God began to burden my heart for unreached people groups. Through conversations with my friend, April, this spring, I found out that the Czech Republic is an unreached people group because less than 1% are evangelical Christians. About 80% are atheist. From there God began to burden my heart to help them. It has been about 4 years since I've been on a foreign mission trip, except to Mexico about 15 minutes away. I've been getting antsy to go on another one. I believe this is a means of me doing my part in spreading the good news to people who have never heard the gospel.
My tentative plans are to be there for 3 or 4 weeks beginning at the end of June. I will be helping with their outreach through conversational English and anything else I can do to further the kingdom work there. A large priority for me is to be an encouragement to David and April. I want to come alongside them and lift the load. Bring a little bit of the familiar to their new home in the Czech.
Would you partner with me in spreading the gospel to people who have never been told the good news? Paul praised his dear friends for partnering with him for the gospel work. God uses people to accomplish his purposes. And what a joy to be part of something eternal that is bigger than ourselves. Please prayerfully consider a gift to help make this trip possible.
