Chuky Needs IVDD Surgery!

First I would like to say I am making this GoFundMe with the permission of the dog's owner Lissette Marrerro, who is desperately searching for a way to get Chuky his surgery as she has already drained all of her funds in veterinary and specialist care for him.
Chuky is an extremely lovable and adorable 6 year old Doxie, who's main goal in life is to smother you in kisses and snuggles. He enjoys car rides, hanging out with mommy and daddy, his toys, dressing up, watching tv, and walks around his neighborhood.
Since 2015, Chuky has been suffering from IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), also known as herniated discs. Some of you will know that this is extremely painful, so you can imagine a small pup like Chuky. The herniated discs are affecting all 4 legs, but especially his front left leg. He cannot stand. He screams in pain. He is currently on treatment with prednisone and tramadol for pain and inflammation along with muscle relaxers. His mommy, Lissette, has to bathe him up to 4 times a day when he soils his diaper and she has to change his diaper all day long when he urinates. She uses doggy diapers and wipes. She does this running to and from work as she works full time. Since his third episode this January, he has been living laying down since he cannot move. Lissette feeds him by hand and puts his water bowl to his mouth so he can drink. Chuky is wearing a diaper 24 hours a day.
Chuky had his first episode of IVDD in 2015. With treatment, he had recuperated well within a month. In 2016 he had his second episode. Again, he underwent the medical treatment . In 2017 he did wonderfully! But this January 2018, Chuky woke mommy and daddy with screaching yelps. He kept trying to stand up and would fall screaming. Lissette rushed him to Pets Medical and we received the news that he needs IVDD surgery and that the operation would cost $10,000!! Chuky has Banfield pet insurance which Lissette pays $60 a month for but it only covers his vet visits partially. His visits still cost between $60 and $900 depending on what is being administered to him. Since Lissette has spent a little over $3000 on veterinary visits for him including having Chuky's bladder emptied. This is one of the side effects of IVDD. He cannot go on his own! Lissette has spent every cent she has and does not know what to do to get her baby his surgery. So I advised her of this GoFundMe in the hopes that we can raise enough to get Chuky this much deserved surgery.
Referred to a neurologist by Chuky's vet to have several tests done, Lissette was offered by the attending neurologist that she would do the surgery for $6,500!!!!
We are so excited as this is much less than the $10,000 previously advised by his vet. The $7,000 we are asking for is to cover his surgery and post surgery expenses.
Chuky was born on November 2, 2011 in Puerto Rico and came to his mommy's arms on December 2, 2011. This little boy has been Lissette's whole world. (She doesn't see a dog, she sees her little boy) This pup has traveled and lived in Arizona and now lives in Florida.
Chuky has brought so much joy to many who know him. He is a happy, content and grateful little boy. Please, Please help Lissette get him this surgery that he needs so badly. If you know Lissette, you know that she is the most humble, sweet, and honest person you could ever know. She has worked so hard all of her life. Let's all pitch in a little to get Chuky his legs and life back!
