Veteran Advocates of Ore-Ida

As the General Manager for the Nonprofit, Veteran Advocates of ORE-IDA, I am raising funds to support programs to help veterans in the Treasure Valley. We support a variety of activities that enhance the lives of US military veterans and active duty personnel residing or traveling through Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho.

We distribute food boxes twice weekly to any veteran's family that is struggling with food insecurity. Some of the activities we sponsor are several yearly events: blankets or quilts to veterans that are home bound or in assisted living facilities, Christmas gift boxes to overseas troops and gas cards, vehicle repairs, medical equipment and more. The Advocacy portion is to direct the veteran in need to certified Service Officers with the ability to resolve a myriad of health, housing, and other life issues that veterans are dealing with as they navigate their return to civilian life.
