Towson High Sports Boosters

The Towson Sports Boosters, a volunteer run organization, is in the midst of several exciting enhancements to the athletic facilities at Towson High School.  The school community has already seen the benefit of a new synthetic turf field, stands, and scoreboard.  Now is the time to bring the Five Star Field House to Towson High School.  

This four-season facility will be constructed adjacent to the athletic track and will provide restrooms, a medical station, a changing room for referees, a concession stand, and a means of communicating between the athletic fields and the school building, all while fully accessible to fans of all ages and abilities.  This is the vision of James Fragetta, M.D.  Jim and his wife Karen were long-standing community volunteers, both through Towson Sports Boosters and the Towson Recreation Council.  As proud parents of two daughters who both attended Towson High School, Jim immersed himself in the sports boosters, even re-stocking the concessions while receiving medical treatment for cancer.  Unfortunately Jim passed in January, 2019, leaving so many in our Towson community and his countless pediatric patients missing his warm spirt, his infectious laughter and wit, and his care for each and every person.  

The Towson Sports Boosters are proud to name this comfort station in memory of Jim.  As a volunteer effort, the James Fragetta, M.D. Comfort Station will require contributions to off-set the more than $575,000 in costs associated with this project.  To date we raised $225,000.00 in grants and $21,000.00 from personal donations.  We invite all members of the community, especially those who wish to honor Jim and the Fragetta family, to consider making a tax-deductible contribution.  Please visit our website at:  https://towsonhighsportsboosters.com/fundraising/

Towson High School’s Class of 2021 has had to endure a lot during this unpredictable year.  The current situation leaves them without any senior celebrations scheduled nor any funds in their account should they try to do something independently. Graduations and proms may not happen this year for our seniors through their school. The THS parents of the Class of 2021 are asking for community support. With your help we can make good on our promise to our daughters and sons that their resilience and efforts over the years will not go unnoticed, they will be celebrated. It is our hope that Towson High’s friends, family, and alumni will help support a privately funded and CDC guided celebration that they so deserve.

Help Make the Home Run Fence a Reality for 2017!!!


The Towson High School Generals baseball teams are preparing to swing for the fences in the spring of 2017, quite literally; but they need your support to win the game. It’s the bottom of the 9th with two outs, the bases are loaded, the game is on the line, and here’s the pitch: there’s a long fly ball to left; it has a chance, it’s going, going…

At long last, the THS baseball teams have an opportunity to play on a home field with its own identity and unique character. With a new homerun fence to enclose the outfield, the players will be able to take the field like five-star generals and battle their opponents with mighty swings and late inning heroics.
