About Take Me Home - Advocates for Transport
Take Me Home's mission is to save dogs from overcrowded shelters facing euthanasia due to lack of space. We raise funds to transport them to no-kill shelters with adoption waitlists, giving them a second chance at life. By pulling dogs from local rural shelters and arranging transport, we help these shelters manage their daily intake and reduce euthanasia rates. Our work not only saves lives but also matches loving families with wonderful companions. We're filling two needs: easing overcrowding in Central Texas shelters and providing adoptable dogs to areas with a shortage of them.
