Hi, my name is Kenny and I'm trying to help out one of only two no-kill animal shelters in my county of Hernando, FL.
Our local SPCA has been in operation for more than 30 years. I recently was informed that the shelter is really struggling to keep things going. The price of food for the animals has tripled in the past 2 years and donations have declined. We are a non-profit and operate solely on donations. The shelter now has over 100 cats, 30 dogs, 5 goats, and of course, chickens. Whatever you can give will all go towards the animals' well-being and to try to find a forever home for them.
The hours of operation are Wed-Sun 12-6. Please feel free to stop by; the staff is always happy to show you around. We go by the name Hernando County SPCA Rescue Ranch.
