Mission Statement Sadie’s Place Animal Rescue is a Christian based non-profit organization dedicated to caring for homeless pets in our communities through adoptions, cruelty investigations, community awareness, fostering and caring for companion animals until loving homes can be found. Named in memory of our beloved Black Lab, Sadie – a shelter dog who became a major part of our family until her death in 2012, we dedicate this mission in her memory. Our organization is totally run by folks who generously volunteer their time, homes and hearts in order to help. Through our Foster Care program, animals have a safe, healthy "place to be" until loving homes can be found for them. The following is our official mission statement: - We believe God has tasked us to rescue and provide foster care for animals that have been abandoned, abused, or are unwanted until a permanent home can be found. - We believe that with some temporary assistance, many animals can remain in their current homes instead of being admitted to animal shelters. - We believe in helping pets and our county by providing temporary supplies of pet food to families suffering from unemployment, seniors on fixed incomes and families that are dealing with chronically illnesses where resources are tightly dedicated. These services may be made available from a pet food bank established for this specific purpose. - We believe in providing a low cost spay/neuter program for the people of Rains/Hunt Counties for the purpose of reducing unwanted births and unfortunate deaths of animal offspring. - We believe that all animals are God’s creations and deserve a second chance. - Our goal is that when our animals have lived out their lives, their love and teachings will live on and to end animal abuse, neglect, and cruelty, and bring to justice those that harm animals, We pray that our efforts will decrease the animal abuse, one animal at a time.
