PROTESTRA's mission is to highlight social justice issues through the context of classical music. Our benefit concerts bridge the divide between classical music and activism by centering around larger themes of social justice; including community-based hosts and guest speakers knowledgeable about these issues; presenting repertoire by underrepresented composers alongside those considered part of the classical canon; and raising funds for mission- and policy-driven organizations related to our concerts’ themes.
