Play Marin

AchievePTC and Mikes Bikes are proud to present the Virtual Marin Classic II in benefit of Play Marin! All event registration proceeds will donated to Play Marin. This will support their ongoing efforts to provide opportunities for children of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds in Southern Marin to learn and grow together through play. 

Additionally, Mikes Bikes will donate one kids bike to Play Marin for each $500 increment hit, until the $4000 fundraising goal is achieved (We hit this, but feel others want to help support Play Marin so we have raised the goal). For example, if $3200 is raised through this GoFundMe page, six bikes will be donated by Mikes Bikes to Play Marin.

Put your fitness to the test on a series of five paved road segments in Southern Marin. Complete them all at once or take them on a few at a time. No matter how you participate, compete for the glory, unlimited Strava kudos and prizes from Mikes Bikes, Rapha, Reform saddle, SRAM, Equator Coffee and more. The top male and female rider will take home the special gift from Mikes Bikes.

Registration
A minimum $5 donation here to benefit Play Marin is required for entry.

Draw Prizes
All registrants will be entered into a draw. Additional donations on top of the $5 entry are accepted.  Each $5 denomination gets a ticket for the draw. For example, a $20 donation gets you 4 draw tickets.

> 4 x $50 Rapha gift certificates

Hi! My name is Charlie Osborn and I just graduated from Tamalpais High School. The past few months have been a challenge for everyone, but I am amazed by the resiliency and inspiration I have seen in everyone I know. 

I have decided to run a marathon on June 19th to raise money for Play Marin. 

Play Marin is a local non-profit working to achieve stronger diversity and inclusion in Marin County. They have achieved this by starting programs to help kids from low income families to participate in extra curricular activities to bring the community together. With recent events, Play Marin has turned to providing meals for families in the Canal District and Marin City. This helps to support local restaurants struggling to stay afloat and provide healthy meals to families who can’t always afford it.

I am asking my friends and family to sponsor me at one dollar per mile (26.2 miles!).  However, anything you are willing and able to donate is greatly appreciated and can go a long ways!  It’s during times like this that we have to come together as a community and show our support for one another. I know that we can create the positive change that we want to see in our world! Thank you for your support!
