Police Canine Hondo needs your help! He was recently diagnosed with a tumor in his abdomen and underwent surgery to remove it but is still in care at the veterinary hospital with critically low red blood cell and platelet counts.

Hondo is a six-year-old German Shepard police dog serving the City of Mill Creek Police Department in Washington State since May 2020. Canine Hondo has served the community as a generalist or tracking canine with his handler Corporal Nathan Lerma. Hondo and Corporal Lerma have deployed 189 times, captured 59 suspects, and located 60 items of evidence, which has included a number of firearms. Hondo has bravely served our community and county, keeping everyone safe.
