We provide practical and emotional support to people affected by HIV and AIDS - their family, friends and loved ones. We educate the public about HIV and AIDS, and its prevention, actively confronting discrimination when they interfere with compassionate care for clients. We act as an advocacy, resource and referral agency for people affected by HIV and AIDS. We work cooperatively with and provide assistance to the healthcare community and social service organization. We represent the needs of people affected by HIV and AIDS on a local, state and national level; to ensure their fair and equitable treatment; and to secure sufficient resources for them.
