LiveWell Philly - Free Depression Support
If you believe that all people in our community deserve equal access to the support they need to live well with depression, donate to our LiveWell Philly Campaign today!
Your generous donation will be used to provide an entire year of a weekly depression support group in Center City that is always FREE and open to the public: no insurance, diagnosis or registration is required.
WHY NOW? After two long years of providing online support groups in response to the pandemic for people across the country, we are pleased that our local in-person depression support groups are finally back! Funds raised from this campaign will be used to:
* Provide 52 weeks of FREE education-based depression support at the Philadelphia Ethical Society
* Cover cost of space rental for a weekly support group (offered at a nonprofit discounted rate)
* Cover transition costs from weekly print materials to a digital system
* Train four new volunteer peer facilitators from our community, and provide ongoing peer mentorship and supervision
Recommended by leading mental health professionals, LiveWell support groups are led by trained volunteers from diverse backgrounds and professions with their own experience of depression and resilience. All curriculum-based support groups are designed to teach people the skills they need to reduce symptoms and relapses of depression, and transform their own lives. And healthier individuals make healthier communities!
