Angel "Max" Fitzgerald's LCNS Friendship Bench
Angel 'Max' Fitzgerald, son of Lori Johns and Barry Fitzgerald, passed away on March 18, 2021. Like so many, Max loved the Little Red Schoolhouse and Miss Stephanie remained his favorite teacher all the way through his school years.
Many Lawrence Community Nursery School (LCNS) friends may remember Angel (Max, back then) as a sweet little guy who was very fast on a tricycle, doing laps at the Little Red back when the kids were small and life was simple.
In those days, in that special school, we all watched out for each other's kids as if they were our own. We may have lost track of Angel over the years, but that early connection and care for him and his family remains. We've all lost this beautiful soul and all the wonderful things he might have brought into being.
In gratitude and memorial for all the things Angel was to those who loved him, we are raising money to purchase a friendship bench in his honor that can be a place of peace and calm amid the big-hearted pandemonium of the LCNS playground.
Any excess funds will go to the LCNS to continue doing what they do best - creating a magical place where all children are loved.
