About Humane Society of Dover-Stewart County
The mission of the Humane Society of Dover-Stewart County (HSDSC) is to rescue abused, abandoned and neglected animals and place them into good homes. Our animals are checked by a veterinarian, heartworm tested, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and then placed in our adoption program and housed by volunteer foster parents. We are committed to long-term care and placement of our animals and therefore we do not euthanize as a means of population control or to make room for new animals.
