Support Haven Family Palace's Urgent Relocation
Haven Family Palace Centre, a registered charitable organization in Kenya, operates the Haven of Hope Children’s Home, a sanctuary for orphans and vulnerable children in Nakuru. Established in 2009 by Joseph Ndungu Mutiga and the late Nelly Wambui Muthui, the home currently supports 42 children aged 7 to 18 and 11 young adults pursuing higher education. The Centre provides not only basic necessities—such as food, shelter, and education—but also the love and care of a family.
Due to frequent challenges with landlords and rising rent costs, the Centre faces the urgent need to relocate. The current landlord has given us three months' notice to vacate the premises. To secure a stable and permanent home, we urgently need to raise €150,000 to purchase land and for temporary construction. The mission of Haven Family Palace is to create a sustainable, self-sufficient home where children can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Haven Family Palace is not just a home; it is a lifeline for children who have endured unimaginable hardships. Since 2009, this Christian-based Charitable Children’s Institution has been a place of safety, providing comprehensive care and education to children by various institutions, including the government and children’s courts. Our vision is a society where every child has hope and a chance to reintegrate into a loving community.
Today, Haven of Hope Children’s Home is home to 42 children and supports 11 young adults pursuing higher education. Despite the instability caused by frequent relocations, we continue to offer these children a stable environment where they can grow, learn, and heal.
The project will be executed in three phases:
Phase 1: Land Acquisition (Months 1-2) – Fundraising and finalizing the purchase of land.
Phase 2: Temporary Construction and Setup (1 month) – Construct dormitories and kitchen
infrastructure on the newly acquired land.
Phase 3: Permanent Construction (Long-Term Goal) – Build permanent facilities, including dormitories, classrooms, and recreational areas.
Securing land and constructing permanent facilities will provide stability for the current 42 children and ensure continuous support for the 11 young adults pursuing higher education. It will also allow us to accommodate more children in need and establish self-sustaining agricultural projects.
We urgently need your help to make this vision a reality. By securing a permanent home, we can provide the stability and care these children need to overcome their past and build a brighter future.
Your support is crucial in helping us create a lasting impact on their lives.
