More about this wonderful community improvement project:
Fifteen years ago, our community teamed up with City of Indianapolis leaders, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, and Holeman Landscape to create two Gateway Gardens, replacing cracked, weed-filled concrete medians with beautiful, living color at two busy Millersville Village intersections, (56th St. and Kessler and Emerson Way and Fall Creek Parkway N Dr. on Indy's NE side). To this day, dedicated green-thumbed volunteers care for these traffic-median gardens, sending a clear message to everyone passing by: “We care about our community."

As you can imagine, medians are a pretty tough environment, and after fifteen years, they need more love than our volunteers alone can provide in order to keep them vibrant and beautiful for the next fifteen years.
We’ve partnered with the original landscape architect from Holeman Landscape to plan the scope, design, and budget for a 2026 makeover of our Gateway Gardens.
We want to make this happen in 2026 and need your help now! We're an all-volunteer organization and this project is 100% dependent on community support. Please donate today!
