Help for Heroes

December 6th 2026, I'll be taking on the Valencia Marathon, running 26.2 miles to raise money for Help for Heroes.

The marathon will be a personal challenge, but I hope to make every mile count towards something much bigger. Help for Heroes provides vital support to veterans and their families, helping those who need it rebuild their lives.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will help support this fantastic cause.

Thank you for supporting me on this challenge!

On Thursday 5 November, all 12 ESPFA education and football programme sites will be taking part in a special remembrance day fundraising challenge, which will see them raise money for the Help for Heroes charity whilst taking the opportunity to reflect and remember the brave servicemen and women who have served, sacrificed and lost their lives in conflict.

Students will be completing 'The Somme Seven-Mile Challenge' which is inspired by the Battle of the Somme during the First World War (1916).

During the campaign, British forces advanced approximately seven miles across the battlefield, with the battle resulting in enormous loss of life and devastating consequences for families and communities.

Our seven-mile challenge provides a symbolic connection to this important moment in history, while recognising the values of teamwork, comradeship, resilience and supporting one another through difficult circumstances.

As someone who is currently serving in the British Army, supporting veterans and their families is something that means a great deal to me.

I am taking on a 200-mile running challenge to raise £1,000 for Help for Heroes.

Challenge starts: 1 October

Target: 200 miles in one month

I have one month to complete the challenge. However, due to a one-week military exercise, I will have less time available to run, so I have given myself until 5 November to complete any remaining miles.

I’ll be running around the Esso pitch, where:

1 loop = 0.50 miles

13 loops = 6.5 miles

20 loops = 10 miles

400 loops = 200 miles

Every run will be recorded on Strava, allowing friends, family and supporters to follow my progress throughout the challenge.

Help for Heroes provides specialist physical and mental health support, welfare assistance and practical help to veterans and their families.

Fundraising target: £1,000

‍ Running target: 200 miles

400 loops around the Esso pitch

Starting 1 October

Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference. If you cannot donate, sharing my fundraising page would also mean a lot.

❤️ Please support my challenge and help me give something back to the veterans and families who have given so much.

200 miles. 400 loops. One month. One important cause.

Thank you for supporting me and following my 200-mile journey! ‍♂️

30th October 2026 I will be doing a endurance event to test mental resilience and endurance, I will be doing 30miles in 8hours carrying 15kg. This is known as one of the toughest endurance events in the whole armed forces.

Hi, I’m Brianna, and I’ve decided to raise money for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes provides lifelong physical, mental, financial, and welfare support to members of the Armed Forces community, veterans, their families, and civilians who served under UK command.

I wanted to do something to show my support and give back to those who have sacrificed so much for others.

For one month, I’ll be challenging myself to walk atleast  15,000 steps every day to raise as much as possible. It’s a challenge I’m excited to take on because it’s for such an important cause. This will take place between 22nd October- 22nd November, falling on both Remembrance Sunday and Armistice day.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Me and my friend Alistair are running the Great Famagusta run (30km) in protaras on the 11th of October as a good little challenge and we thought it would be a good way to raise some money for a good cause and something in line with what we do.

any donations would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way. Thanks

Hi updated the completed date as you all know I’d hurt my ankle so my recovery has now started, hoping to complete it by the end of the year

Hi

And thanks for coming to my go fund me page, I am raising money for help for hero’s by doing my 1st ever half marathon at Alexandra park in Oldham.

In the winter I decided to start running to help me keep fit during the off season of refereeing, at the start I was struggling to run 200m as I was 27.5st without stopping, but I kept at it in all weather conditions as it was something I wanted to do, by the start of May I am now running 7.5 miles, so I have decided to set myself a goal of running a half marathon by the end of the year ( hopefully as I’ve hurt my ankle hence why I’ve changed the running date) and raise money for help for hero’s as we all know or have someone in our family’s who have served for this country,

Any donation big or small will help massively for the charity.

Want to join us in making a difference? 3 college students and I are part of an assignment in College including fundraising, volunteering, and walking the length of wales to France to bring a hero home. We are raising money through this journey, to benefit Help for Heroes, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
