Our Story

We’re Aaron, Jack and George – three mates who’ve been friends for 18 years.

With Jack and George both turning 30, we decided there was only one sensible way to celebrate… by buying a car for under £500. Introducing The Incredible £500 Panda – our bargain banger that’s been given a collective makeover and is about to attempt the ultimate challenge: driving all the way to Benidorm and back in just 7 days.

Why? Because we’re raising money for Help for Heroes, a charity that’s close to our hearts. Jack proudly served 10 years in the Royal Marines, and this challenge is our way of giving something back to those who have served our country.

The Rules

* Buy a car for under £500.

* No hotels – we’re sleeping in the car.

* Hit every checkpoint.

* Collect signatures and messages on the Panda from people we meet along the way.

* And most importantly… the car has to make it home!

The Route

Our adventure starts at the Rose & Crown, Fleet, before heading to Tower Bridge in London and then on to Dover for the ferry to Calais.

From there it’s straight to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, before taking on one of Europe’s most spectacular roads across the incredible Millau Viaduct.

Then comes the real challenge – climbing through the Pyrenees into Andorra. Will our £500 Panda make it up the mountain roads… or will we need a tow truck?

Tow truck? Not on Jack’s watch!

If we survive that, we’ll drop down to the Costa Brava, finally catch sight of the Mediterranean, and then make the big run south to Benidorm.

Making it to Benidorm is only half the challenge…

Then it’s time to turn around, escape Spain, head back through France, and somehow get ourselves – and hopefully the Panda – back to the Rose & Crown for a well-earned pint of Guinness.

For one night only, Jack and George are even giving up Pepsi Max!

Three drivers will be sharing the driving… although one of us is definitely better at drinking than driving, so don’t expect equal mileage!

There’ll be sweat, swearing, wrong turns, questionable navigation, breakdown scares, arguments, laughter, and memories that’ll last a lifetime. Whatever happens, every mile is for an incredible cause.

we are taking part in born survivor 2026 in honor of Dava Cowling a much loved daddy, son, brother, fiance, uncle, friend, & army brother - Dava sadly lost his life to suicide in December 2025 and we are wanting to honor his incredible memory by raising money for a charity that was close to his heart - helping other veterans who maybe struggling too

born survivor is an extreme military style obstacle course created and ran by royal marine commandos

Dava was a fitness fanatic who loved to push people to their limits as well as himself and we know he will be looking down on us all shouting to keep going from start to finish giving us the push we need through a physically tough experience - and we will all do him proud as he did us - we love and miss you always ❤️️

Hi, everyone.

Those I know will be aware that I've been racing karts since I was a kid. This has resulted in us accumulating several karts, engines and spare bits over the years. One of which hasn't turned a wheel in nearly 20 years. So why not build them up and race them all at the same event on the same day!

So:

The chosen venue for the challenge is Rowrah, Cumbria. 16th August and organised by Access Karting UK https://www.accesskarting-uk.com/

Bit of a unique challenge, so thought I'd try and raise some money for charity. The chosen charity is Help for Heroes https://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/. All money raised both on here and on the day will go to them. I am hoping to spend no more than £500 on getting all 4 karts ready for the event, so lets try and get as close to that as possible.

My name is Owen, and I work for the Street Scene department at South Kesteven District Council. Along with seven of my colleagues, I will be taking part in a 15K Tough Mudder as part of our ongoing fitness journey.

Five of the eight members of our team are ex-military, and because of this we have chosen to support a charity that is very close to our hearts. This event is not only a personal challenge for us, but also an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a cause that means a great deal to our team.

The event will take place on Sunday 5th July at Belvoir Castle. We have all been training hard and will continue to push ourselves in preparation for the challenge.

Any support or donations would be greatly appreciated and will go towards helping a charity that supports causes important to our team.

On the 9th of June, 10 students from North Notts College will be attempting the Yorkshire Three Peaks in under 12 hours to raise money for Help for Heroes

Transitioning to civilian life can be tough, so they provide tailored support for physical and mental health, welfare, and social needs — for veterans and their families. We also help civilians who served under UK Command, for example Afghan interpreters.

And thanks for coming to my go fund me page, I am raising money for help for hero’s by doing my 1st ever half marathon on remembrance Day 2026 at Alexandra park in Oldham.

In the winter I decided to start running to help me keep fit during the off season of refereeing, at the start I was struggling to run 200m as I was 27.5st without stopping, but I kept at it in all weather conditions as it was something I wanted to do, by the start of May I am now running 7.5 miles, so I have decided to set myself a goal of running a half marathon by the end of the year (well November) and raise money for help for hero’s as we all know or have someone in our family’s who have served for this country,

Any donation big or small will help massively for the charity.

I will be performing at the Dolphin Inn, St. Marychurch, Torquay for veterans in the afternoon of the 22nd of August.

Hi my names Becky and I am walking from the crown pub in horwich to Southport Pier which is 26.3 miles to raise money for Help for Hero’s. I am currently studying Public Service Level 3 at college and I hope to be able to serve in the Armed Forces when I finish the course.

My brother currently serves in the Army and I’m aware of how different military life is to the civilian world. Any funds raised will be donated to this wonderful charity that does such important work for our brave veterans.
