My name is Rahm Sus, and I am a rising sophomore at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. I am honored to serve as the Louisiana chapter president for Everyone's Library.

I joined this organization for my love of books and in the hopes of sharing that love with many others, especially underprivileged communities. Before I could even read, my parents took me to the library. It became a captivating place for me, where I could go to learn and improve my vocabulary, while using my imagination. As I grew older and continued my passion for reading, I realized that not all people have the same access to libraries. This is a problem because libraries are important for improving literacy. Literacy is important because it creates a way for people to get jobs and provide for their families, and I am starting this chapter to make an impact on the community of Columbus.
