Carrizozo Heritage Museum

Hello! The Carrizozo Chamber of Commerce has a multi-step plan to increase visibility for our town to the thousands of drivers who pass through our crossroads each day. One of these projects is a 22-foot 'welcome' mural for as drivers enter town from northbound Rt 54.

Created by local artist Nathan Chavez, it will be a fun, colorful entry from our southern approach.

[In support of this project, the Carrizozo Heritage Museum is helping to facilitate donations through this GoFundMe page; all donations will go specifically to the costs of this mural, not to the Museum, and not to the Chamber of Commerce].

As the Carrizozo Heritage Museum begins its 3rd decade of celebrating, conserving, and displaying our shared regional heritage, we are embarking on a 3-year plan to upgrade, enhance, and expand our facilities and programs. This season will see the re-opening of the renewed galleries, and future seasons will see exterior improvements, and well as new life for the Heritage Hall building. Even with a modest budget, and an all-volunteer staff, we need your help in funding these improvements. This is a great was for Carrizozo citizens, local and with relatives nationwide, to help keep their families' heritage alive for a new generation! (Our fundraising goal is the year our town was founded!) Thank you for whatever you can give!
