Bridget Skin Cancer Op Appeal

 
I am Elliot Pfebve, a Lecturer in UK and currently the MDC EU Representative. As a Zimbabwean living in UK I was touched by the plight of Bridget after being approached by the parents.

Updates:

Bridget’s treatment plan has been arranged through Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust Hospital in London. The quotation so far received requires £10,250 (£250 Consultation and £10,000 Treatment episode) as a private patient.  Her assessment has been referred to Dr Kgokolo at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria on the 8th of November.  Total estimated bill including fights, VISAs, accommodation and expenses are expected to be more than £15,000.00

This appeal is to raise funds for Bridget Mandimutsira, a 7 year old Zimbabwean girl with skin cancer who requires specialised operations abroad. I have been approached and appointed by George and Benedict Mandimutsira, father and mother respectively to help them raise the needed fees for operations as an MDC EU representative.

Bridget has had 26 operations in South Africa so far and now needs specialised operation to treat her multiple skin cancer. The medical treatments they had so far were sponsored by well wishers. This appeal is therefore to raise money for those treatments.

The parents are updated weekly on the amount raised and so are the trustees who have been paying the medical fees so far. The full amount raised will be transferred to Steward Bank Account (Parents account) in Zimbabwe specifically set up for the treatment appeal. I will take full responsibility that the money donated via  GoFundMe, given to me is in full handed to the parents for the treatment of Bridget's skin cancer.
