Wheelchair Van

After a fall in 2012 where I suffered a spinal cord injury my wife Judy and I felt very restricted finding adequate transportation to and from various events. We lucked into our "freedom machine" from an ad on a bulletin board in the local grocery store. This vehicle enabled us to go out shopping, or just to go out spontaneously to visit friends or meals or movies or family functions, doctors visits and to our local race track so that I can still officiate at car races as I did before my accident.

This wheelchair modified van has served us well for the last 5 years, but structurally is starting to be a problem. We would like to replace this vehicle with a brand-new van. These wheelchair vans require about $30-$35,000 to modify them with the lowered floor and a side ramp to accommodate my wheelchair.

If we do not raise the $60,000 requested, I will take what ever funds are raised and use them to buy a used wheelchair van.
