Orlando & April Sheatz Martinez and Baby Luca

The KHS Class of 2002 lost a wonderful classmate, a genuine person, and a true friend over the weekend.  April Sheatz Martinez was one of the most loving and caring people you could have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was friendly to everyone, she loved life, and most importantly she loved and cared about others. She lived her life to the fullest and I always enjoyed catching up with her when I could because she was positive and optimistic. I often found myself in awe of her because she was just always true to herself and built a life that was adventurous and full of happiness. Last time I saw her was at our class reunion where I was able to meet her husband Orlando and they couldn’t have been happier together.

April and Orlando welcomed their beautiful son, Luca, into the world on Sunday May 26th. Tragically, April passed away the same day due to complications from childbirth. Please pray for her family, husband, and son. We are raising funds to help her family, Orlando, and Luca with any current or unforeseen expenses in the near future. Please consider giving anything if you can, I know it will help the family during their time of grief.
