l had to close the previous campaign to further donations because GoFundMe and WePay could not let me change the receiver account, and continuing to have funds deposited into the account of a deceased person would be EXTREMLY complicating. The campaign is STILL available for my updates and your comments.
The purpose of THIS follow-up campaign is to raise funds for the inevitable after-death expenses of the planned Memorial Wake, AND to help tide me over until I can convince Social Security that I should be allowed to collect survivor benefits now, instead of in 5+ years. (Expected delay would STILL be 2+ years. Sigh.)
Funds left over from the previous campaign will be diverted to this need, but the expenditures from the MULTIPLE trips to and stays in Miami were pretty high, when totalled. Less than a third of the actual funds we received from the campaign remain.
I'm not DESPERATE (yet, anyway), but at this stage, I'm not in a position to turn down aid, and anything that shows up here will be properly appreciated.
While it WILL be appreciated, please do NOT feel OBLIGATED to donate. That being said, I WOULD prefer you donate HERE (or somewhere else in her name that you would find appropriate) RATHER than trying to send flowers, etc.
