So what is this? What is The ABCs of Shakespeare?
This is an indie author/English teacher's attempt at introducing big ELA concepts to early readers. This was inspired when my friend, Halley, who has a lovely infant, showed off her Chris Ferrie books, an Australian scientist and author of STEM-based books for children and other young readers. For each letter of the alphabet, there is a vocabulary association, relating to a Shakespeare term, setting, or character. There are three levels of text: 1. Identification 2. Definition and 3. Explanation. All three levels appeal to different levels of cognition and early childhood development. Now, I need the last component to complete the project: the most compelling illustration that draws the attention of children with vivid colors and cute characters! And now you can help me!
