This video is a promo video that was created when I first started No Covers Original Open Mic. The location has changed to The Parlor On Granby Street in Norfolk Va, every Tuesday night!! 7pm to 11pm. 















Hello Supporters,
 My name is Joselyn Best and I am a singer, songwriter, vocal coach, event coordinator, mother of two boys , mentor  and more- what ever else I can hep with in the community. I released my first album in March 15,2014 titled " A Changed Mind" and was excited about letting the world hear it. After the album release it was time to continue to promote my songs on my new album but in my mind, where do I go? who will listen to a local artist with new music? So I went on a search and I visited a few open mic's and you have some people who get with you, and others that stare at you because it's unfamiliar to them. So I decided to create my own open mic that will cater to Original Work. May 6, 2014 I created my own open mic called "No Covers" Original Open Mic.
I wanted to create a place that would allow singers, songwriters, painters, musicians, comedians, dancers, authors, poets ect to feel free to create and be excited to have a place to share it at. My idea was to create a platform and also create a audience who would cater to it. Mission accomplished!!! No Covers Original Open Mic has been going strong a little over a year now. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! When I created this open mic, I wanted this platform to be an outlet for the artist and also offer opportunity for them as well. No Covers has offered a platform for artist to feature thier talent, sell their product, network with other artist, promote themselves, opportunities for radio interviews and much more. No Covers is also traveling, This year No Covers will be apart the of 5th Arts Festival in Atlanta on September 12, 2015. Myself and my Co- Host Dave Champion will be representing and hosting offering opportunities to artist from other states to perform thier music live and for free. This Festival has alot of wonderful seminars, live entertainment, live radio, workshops and more. No Covers will be traveling to Atlanta for the #WSAATL ( Writing Sessions of America) under direction of CEO Kevin Shine's Singer/ Songwriter Retreat from October 22- 25th. I believed so much in the talent of 757 that I reserved a charter bus for the artist to travel to the retreat!! This retreat is an awesome experience, which I had a chance to atten last year. It offers the artist a chance to learn the business of the music industry, live radio, workshops, seminars, networking, perfomances, and No Covers will have it's own night for artist to showcase their Original Work!! So you ask, WHAT DO WE NEED HELP WITH? We need your help To be able to offer opportunity for the artist and keep No Covers going to make it world wide.
