Bring Benedicta and Sena to the SLI

I'm Benedicta Naa Adjeley Sowah, and I'm Sena Atsugah. We are two of only a handful of women working in contemporary African dance, in Ghana.
Sena is a lecturing assistant at the University of Ghana, and the artistic director of Tifali Cultural Institute.
Benedicta is one of only four recent gradates from the University of Ghana with a BFA in Dance, and a performer with Tifali Cultural Institute.
We have foundations in Ghanaian traditional dance, and we are practitioners of global contemporary dance forms. We've trained and collaborated with artists from Brasil, Germany, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, and the US. We hope to continue growing our craft and leadership skills this summer in New York city with the world renowned dance company, Urban Bush Women (UBW). After being encouraged to apply by our colleague and sister-choreographer, MK Abadoo, we were gratefully awarded partial scholarships to UBW's competitive Summer Leadership Institute. Now, we just need your help to get us from Ghana to New York!
Along with the remainder of the tuition, we are also raising funds for visa fees, international flights, housing, NYC subway transport, and meals.
