Chris: My Personal Hero

My husband has been hospitalized after going into cardiac arrest last month. That day turned our lives upside down. Since then, he has had multiple tests, MRI, CAT SCANS, blood work, EEG's. We also endured a bump in the road when he had to receive several treatments of dialysis. He currently is in a vegetative state and we aren't sure when that will end, if ever. He was diagnosed this summer with hypothyroidism and severe sleep apnea. Because of horrible insurance and his work schedule, he had a hard time with follow up appointments. That all came to a head which caused the cardiac arrest. Our backstory is pretty simple. We have been together since the fall of 2012. We moved to a new city for him to open a restaurant. We recently got married this summer and were preparing to start a family. He is an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He loves Ghostbusters (the original). He's a big kid at heart. For our honeymoon, he was all for going to Disney World. He just want to have fun and live life in his own terms. He is the best husband and dog dad that you can imagine. My hope is to move him back to our home town to be close to family. We live about an hour and half away from them and the drive has been hard. Plus the isolation that him being in the hospital has been torture. There are some great facilities down there and I really hope that he will benefit greatly from them. However, with insurance only covering so much, we need a little help covering the difference. Plus we have to pay for the transportation out of pocket. On top of all that, we still rent and they are wanting quite a hefty contract breaking fee. I would like to ask for you help to get Chris home and where he need to be for his health and to be near all his loved ones. Thank you so much and God Bless!
