Benefit for Barb and Family

Donation protected
Barb Fairbanks of Masontown is a 43 yr old mother of four children. Her youngest child, Brady is a special needs child with an incurable disease. Barb recently had to have her right leg amputated above the knee due to a staph infection. Previously, Barb worked as a CNA at the WVU Childrens Hospital for 20 years and also worked as a substitue teacher in the Preston County School System for the past four years. Unfortunately, she lost her job at the hospital and is not able to teach because of her recent amputation. She is currently on the mend and waiting to be fitted with a prosthesis. The technology of the new artifical limbs are unbeliveable, but, so are the costs!!! There will be lots of trips to therapy to learn to walk again but driving without a right leg is nearly impossible. We would like to help Barb by raising money to help pay for her prosthetic leg and to convert her car with some type of assistive driving device.
