Sharla’s Story
Sharla had her mammogram at the end of June and all was fine. Roll forward to the first week of October and Sharla noticed a lump in her right breast, which she attributed to bumping into a corner of a dresser during Carol's move to Arkansas. BTW, Carol now lives in Arkansas... When the lump did not go away she went to the doctor for a series of tests and we now know that she has a rather aggressive form of cancer. She starts her chemotherapy this coming Tuesday, November 10th of 2015, and must continue with it for an extended period of time. The prognosis is good since she caught it early and she met with her specialized care team today so she now knows the planned course of action.
