Caesars Second Chance

Caesars Second Chance (Heartworm treatment). Caesar is a 3 year-old Staffordshire Terrier who was removed from a neglectful situation and had to have his case go to trial. Luckily, as of today, Caesar is officially ours & we can begin vetting him to be adopted! When Caesar was neutered he was diagnosed as heartworm positive and now we are able to begin his treatment. Heartworm is a disease spread by mosquitoes, and while it’s not contagious to humans or other animals it is FATAL if left untreated. As a public, open-admission shelter as well as animal control, for the City of Muncie, we take in 4,000-5,000 animals a year. The majority of these animals are in need various medical care. Unfortunately, with all of the animals in our care we have already surpassed our medical budget. As Caesar needs heartworm treatment in order to live a happy, healthy life, we humbly ask you to consider donating to help cover the costs of Caesar medical care so we can provide him with the second chance he deserves by getting him healthy and ready for a forever home!
