Life after lava
Donation protected
I stopped to breathe and on the exhale began to cry. Like the kind you can’t stop, the kind that feels like you’re a kid who’s just found out the world isn’t a fair place.
I chose to live on the side of a volcano, we all did. Others choose to live where there are earthquakes, or floods, or hurricanes, or traffic accidents. That doesn’t change the love we feel for a place. I don’t think we have any more choice over the Places we fall in love with, than we do the people we fall in love with.
I’ve finally seen a picture that confirms that my home is gone. Totally gone.
