My Filmmaking Dream
Donation protected
My name is Kevin and I am a high school junior and 17 years old. I’m also visually impaired. I can only see out of my left eye; I’m completely blind in my right eye.
For as long as I could remember I’ve always enjoyed photography. Now that I am getting older I realize that I don’t simply enjoy photography, I have a passion for it. Over time, this passion for photography has grown to include filmmaking and cinematography, as well. As I begin to plan for my future and think about life and attending college after high school, I realize my passion for these forms of media is not something that will simply fade away.
In April 2018, I successfully graduated from a filmmaking program at the New York Film Academy. This was one of my proudest moments and showed me that I am capable of turning my passion into a career. I realize, however, that in order for me to further my passion into something long-term I need more advanced equipment. Unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to purchase the equipment I need. I would appreciate any help you can give in order to help me turn my dreams into a reality!
Please watch my final project for the New York Film Academy!
